Virtual classes are back! As the cost of goods continues to rise, cooking at home is an easy way to save money. That's why we’re excited to relaunch our virtual cooking classes! Our live, interactive sessions are open to people of all ages:


  • Classes typically last 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the menu.
  • Most recipes can be adjusted to accommodate allergies or dietary preferences
  • Amount of ingredients may vary based on your appetite or family size.
  • Unless noted in the ingredient list, all cutting/chopping will be done during class. If you're concerned about using a knife, we recommend wearing a cut-resistant glove (available in children's sizes too)—just one will do.
  • You’ll find the schedule and ingredient list below, along with Zoom links for each class you'd like to join.


6/9/25 Monday: Strawberry Oatmeal Crumble Bars (will need an 8x8 baking pan)

Ingredients 

  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats (don't use quick or instant)
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup of Strawberry preserves (seeded or seedless will work)


Suggested sides: ice cream, milk, tea


6/12/25 Monday: Creamy Cajun Orzo with Sausage

Time: 5:00 pm CST

Ingredients 

  • 1 1/2 pounds of smoked sausage (we will slice in class)
  • 2 tablespoons of neutral flavored oil
  • 3 cloves of Garlic (we will mince in class)
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked Orzo 
  • 2 1/2 cups Chicken Broth (or vegetable broth)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 3 tablespoons Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 cup corn kernels (canned or frozen)
  • 2 cups fresh Spinach 


Suggested sides: roasted vegetables, dinner rolls, side salad


6/23/25 Monday: Sour Cream Double Chocolate Muffins

Ingredients 

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (divided)
  • **cupcake liners**


Suggested sides: coffee, tea, milk, ice cream
